it’s annoying because I’m just like you clearly did all this just to pad out the game content.

I played for like three hours and I was like oh let me see how much I’ve done in the first area and I’m barely at 18% I went fuck.

 

Same thing happened when I first tried AC odyssey but I did eventually go back to that game and wound up loving it so it’s not all bad. I play a lot of open world games and have a high tolerance for padding so long as it’s possible to just do the main story straight through without the game level gating and making you go engage with side content to be the right level to advance the main quest. Far cry doesn’t have that problem but AC games do, aside from Valhalla

 

Ending of chapter 12 wrecked me.

Once I finish this game I'll play something else for a bit to avoid burnout (I started with 0......like two years ago LOL) but then either do ishin or gaiden depending on how this ends and if I feel like I want extra insight into Kiryu or want to take a trip to the past.

Then eventually infinite wealth. I know I'm not with 7 but Ichiban is a damn charming protag haha. There's times I think he's reminiscent of the old crew and then other times I see him as a breath of fresh air. Like....while him and Kiryu both embody the same morals and integrity they're sooooo completely different haha.

 

Ichiban is my favorite protagonist in gaming

 

Ichiban is the like the rare protagonist who messes up and decides to work on himself instead of being angry and shitty about it.

 

I feel nasty being fifth prestige on BO6 but damn, I’ve spent too much time grinding on Zombies thinking about shit while listening to music to care. It’s become my daily thinking thing, play Zombies to music and think about shit. It’s like a weird relaxing mediation for me but we all got our quirks.

 

Ichiban is just so wholesome even when it's at his detriment......like chap 12 could have been completely avoided had he WAITED A SINGLE NIGHT. Haha like dude have some drinks, zzzzzzz and when you wake up in the AM you're good to go. But noooooo Mr. Impatient, I was yelling at my TV screen between laughs. So headstrong haha.

I think 5 was not as large as 6 still which is why 6 is insane because 5 was huge

I get that Balatro isn't actually gambling and obviously shouldn't be considered that but I'd be lying if I didn't have 50 different moments per run where I had the thought "THIS Wheel Of Fortune is actually going to hit though"

Space Joker is the best way to keep kids away from gambling, that shit never procs with anything you actually need it to and is a run destroyer and shows that gambling is never the answer

 

I didn’t think 3 was that big at all at least now with how the main story shuttles you through the map

 

Wrapped up Pepper Grinder yesterday. I never really got good at the control scheme, but it was a novel concept. I was surprised at how short it ended up being, but I appreciate when a game doesn't overstay its welcome. It felt like the devs wanted to make a bite-sized GBA platformer and they really nailed it. Looking forward to seeing what they do next!
