Not really. Unless the name really fits. For example Kevin Großkreutz is the perfect embodiment of a stereotypical Kevin.

Leighton Baines' Everton youth side won 7-0 last night. They're currently 4th in the u18s league with a -1 GD lol. United and City, as ever at this level, are absolutely cruising.

    Man, where does time go?

Oh yeah, oh yeah, everything is terrible.

terrible watch, but still take the W. Can't wait for City to become rejuvenated at our expense Sunday

Positive spin: Fernandes, if he continues this sort of output, could replicate Goncalves' role. Hojlund is scoring for fun, albeit at a lower level. At 21 he's got time on his side. Do United fans have the same amount of time?

Højlund's problem isn't time, it's service. No surprise that when the bums behind actually look for a pass, he scores. He's got all the tools to be top, top quality.

    Another terrible performance.

how many times do we need to play son at striker before Ange realizes this doesn’t work. I know we’re limited with options but man.

  11. The defensive injuries get a lot of attention but the few injuries we’ve had in the attack are showing up in games as well. We have no depth up top now. Really lack depth everywhere tbh. Our players look tired. Losing every loose ball. Getting out-hustled all game. And sometimes that can be a matter of the players being checked out on the whole project. But that isn’t the case here imo.

  12. And for me, the biggest setback from missing Romero and VDV is the passing from the back. Dragusin is awful at building up. So many bad decisions and poor passes leading to turnovers. A massive difference in how our starters operate back there.

Don't worry, lads, Southampton already got their first win out of the way against Everton. The "embrassment" won't be as bad as it could have been.

  14. Kulu is our only good player lol

  15. I’m not sure what just happened. We had a free kick and there was a collision of heads. Play stopped while we still had possession in the box…..then when play resumes Rangers had a free kick? And then nearly scored after their keeper booted it down the field lol

  16. And now we can’t get possession back and Rangers are threatening. Of course.

  17. Well, a point is better than nothing. But still looked shit.

  18. The bright spot from that game is that Bergvall had another good appearance. His last few cameos have gone very well for him. Been a weird year for our young players but good to see one of them finally showing some flashes.

As rough as these early Amorim United games are to watch you can absolutely see how good they’re going to look at the end of the process. We still won’t have a fully optimized squad next year but with some ins and outs over the next two windows and a full preseason, looking forward to seeing a much more coherent and quality side to start the next season.

Sheesh I’ve never seen Ange rip into a player like this

I saw people saying STD given Ange was so specifically uptight about the media trying to nail down what it is. Kept reiterating that he’s just a kid and to respect that.

  24. Yeah, I saw that too. Mono seems more likely. But there’s been nothing on it. So who knows.
