I decided to play far cry 6 since I’ve basically done every far cry except for the first two and some of the side games.

 

Oh the times have changed lol, it took me at least 3-4 weeks of monitoring apps trying to try to buy mine before they sold out

 

so since no one was any help i googled it and got the one for 2023, i'm guessing this year's isn't out yet.

 

I didn’t even know you could have a pet alligator in this game and it’s living up to the hype.

 

oh my bad, I thought you were leaning into a 'steamed-wrapped shit' joke or something like that, which is a facet of my terrible humor. Yeah it's the end of year stats for Steam players, but it's not out yet.

I'm only waiting for the Nintendo one since that's all I play

 

I ain’t listening to the whole thing but someone pulled some notes from Schreier’s podcast today

- the big announcements are actually big and will make an impact on people. “Probably years away”

- hasn’t heard anything about Silksong

- mentioned HL3 but didn’t confirm or deny anything

- no switch 2 obviously but good chance we see a game for the switch 2

- Xbox throwing something in

- he’s pretty sure PlayStation has a couple things

- 99% chance we see death stranding 2

 

I saw someone mention on the Reddit maybe Xbox might start showing some more about state of decay 3 which would be cool.

I'm going with The Witcher tease. And HOPING the next ND game.....I assume tlou3 isn't next since we just got news about the scifi game but one can hope.

I’ve gotten about a few hours in and I left the “tutorial” island in far cry 6 and I mean it’s fine so far. Nothing really crazy. The shooting has improved since 5 and some cool side characters but that’s just a far cry game at this point.

Yeah they've been having issues. It launched yesterday morning but quickly went down and it didn't work all day lol

 

Geoff being so quiet until today is pretty telling

GTA (featuring Astro Bot) shadow drop is real

 

My one actual real prediction is that the show is going the be lighter on reveals than prior years. It'll have a few big reveals, a few smaller ones, and then mostly awards. Geoff was ripped to shreds last year for how they handled the awards and I think he wants to course correct (rightly so)

 

if anyone needs a marvel rivals teammate, pls hmu. i haven't played yet but i heard its ridiculous in this early stage of the game.

 

yeah I think in previous years he’s thrown around X amount of world premieres well before the show airs to generate hype.

I don’t think he’s given out any number this year. Which is good.
