Alright, you had me look up my local market , SF Bay Area, for a Saturday night at the Giants stadium. 1 standard ticket for $436.75

 

Yeah, most of the dates were that expensive too lol

 

MCR tickets for Toronto sold crazy fast. All that’s left is grossly overpriced platinum and resale stuff. Hoping to get lucky on something the week of the show

Kinda hate how the 2nd show for NYC is actually BEFORE the first one. Would've liked the tickets I bought to have been for the tour's opening night.

 

Yep. I'm old. I have zero clue who Gracie Abrams is, what era she's from (new / nostalgia), if she's young/old, what genre of music she plays, and I certainly couldn't name a single song.

She opened for Olivia Rodrigo on her first tour in 2022 and she played a lot of dates with Taylor Swift in 2023/24, it was a good move as she gained a lot of fans in those 3 years and now touring arenas. She is also J.J. Abrams daughter.

 

She is also the daughter of famous director, JJ Abrams

 

Maybe a hot take, idk, but Gracie Abrams makes some of the most boring music I've heard in recent years. I do not understand the appeal and I'm pretty open to most music.

JK - I honestly am not bothered by that type of stuff (whole other topic). I will check out what the hype is about. I was just being facetious and self deprecating about someone playing not one but TWO Madison square garden shows and not knowing who they were.

 

My friend loves Gracie Abrams and was like I can't believe the song popping off is her most boring song, and it took everything in me not to ask how that was different from any of her other songs. And I did try to like her, I even went with this friend to see her touring her last album, but I don't think I've intentionally listened to her since that show

 

I actually found her boring too up until she released That’s So True which ended up being one of my favorite songs of the year. And ever since then I’ve liked her newest album more than I originally did…go figure.

 

I certainly tried. Listened to the album a few times to see if it would click, but it never did.
