Looking forward to hearing this tomorrow. Could see it being a last minute entry into my top 10 of the year pretty easily.

Curious how “Are You Awake” feels as a closer. Maybe it’s just because it was the first song released, but it always felt like it could be a mellow opener leading into a more lively second track (an approach to openers I often love).

Oh boo, I thought that cracked black / white design was the record, not the CD. The record is plain black. Goes with the cover, at least.

The intro of Crocodile Tears seems like it should be in an 80's adventure romcom like Romancing the Stone.

this is REALLY good. execution reminds me a bit of Petals for Armor, but with a lot more edge and experimentation.

This is good! Allows her to work outside the constructs of Chvrches for a more organic and varied presentation.

I only like a few tracks on this; the music just isn’t my style for the most part. But I’m glad she got to do it.

I like this a lot! As I’d hoped I would.

My one complaint, that keeps me from being 100% in love, is that some of the sequencing choices don’t quite work for me. “Are You Wake” does not, in fact, feel like a closer, and surrounding “Punch Drunk” with “Anywhere But Dancing” and “Oh, Mother” was awkward. So many of these songs are so dang good, though, with some cool sounds for her to be singing over and some fun hooks.

I added this to my wishlist on Amazon, and it immediately seems to have sold out there? It's already only listing re-sellers as options now.

Her site has a nice blue exclusive color, but $45 shipped for one record is tough to swallow.

I also like this a lot. A good mix of sounds going on here. Really hoped she would scream at the end of Sorry, Etc, such a perfect build up for one lol

I quite like this! Maybe I shouldn’t be surprised, but I wasn’t the biggest fan of the singles and they all work really well in sequence, especially “Change Shapes” with that big bass synth line. It’s nice to hear her lean into the 80s sounds especially as you could tell she is a fan from some of the lyrical references on their last album.

Yeah I'm pretty happily surprised at how much I'm enjoying this after being lukewarm on the singles, I even like them more now

This album is getting better and better. It deserves a conversation on year end lists.
