TK is in the wrong in this case for sure. WWE is wrong for the thousand times they’ve done it before too.


We can chalk a lot of this up to Konnan being a complete idiot and Fenix being caught in crossfire (previously) that stemmed from Konnan and Penta saying shit publicly.

Fenix implying a bunch of this shit now could make it end up completely different if there’s merit to it of course.

Yeah, the whole situation is not a great look for TK but if he doesn't just stand by his decision, it sets an even worse example. There's no winning here, just losing less.

Buddy also literally re-signed after all those rumors. Britt's a separate thing; more like she became a locker room problem then she wants to walk.

But yeah, honestly, I'd just let Fenix walk at this point with a no-compete through the Rumble. Its not like the Lucha Bros are gonna move ratings in WWE; they're a tag team and right now, main roster doesnt give a damn about tag teams. They've only got SNME, Rumble, and Elim Chamber until rumble, and aside from putting them in a multi-team ladder match, there's not much they're gonna be able to build for them before WM anyway.

 

Miro's also his own worst enemy at this point. If they're sending you ideas and you're turning down creative, I feel less sympathy for a company sitting on your deal than I do someone like Fenix who worked every week and was a workhorse for years.

Yeah, its old for sure. Its why Tony should also just let him walk...its not like anyone who left AEW recently is doing anything meaningful in WWE anyway. Ethan Page and Pillman are in NXT, Jade's hurt and not working singles anyway, and is Andrade even on TV currently? Same way dudes like Ricochet, etc moving over dont move the needle in a big way either.

Just let them leave when they get mad rather than deal with the backstage crap.

Has anyone done what Eddie Thorpe did last/this week on NXT before? Qualify for a match, gets “attacked” and has to miss said match which is a particularly gruelling one, get a title shot through provoking the champ and sympathy (kinda) for the GM and then reveal there was no attacker and that it was all a plan to get a title match without having to fight 4 other men? Never seen that before, was kinda impressed! Some of the inbetween bits were a bit iffy, like being pretty much ignored and looking a bit silly just standing there when Trick and Oba were talking, but still.
