Don’t get me wrong, I can understand him rubbing people wrong and some of what he’s done annoys me. But all coaches are fucking assholes so I kind of just give up haha.

my favorite thing about the big twelve is occasionally there is a 70-63 game with zero defensive stats and it’s looking like we’re potentially getting one with a playoff spot on the line and that’s awesome

Im sort of critical about 12 teams being too many teams....but this big12 champ game is one of the aspects of it that I love. Two pretty solid teams, not amazing but solid, and one of them gets the chance to dance.

Maybe they should change it to 6 conf champions. Let the 12 seed be a team like army or jacksonville st or Mac. 6 wild card spots is still plenty

 

I'm still in the camp of "let's see it play out once and then debate it more" but I get why people are already criticizing it with some of the decisions that have been made

I don’t care what anyone says, Skattbo and this Arizona St team having a chance to be in the playoffs is a magical thing. This is the kind of stuff the playoffs are about. Not arguing whether the 4th best team in the SEC deserves to be in.

Criticism of the 12 team playoff is all dumb, I have yet to see any compelling argument against it.

Like wahhh we’re putting teams in who don’t have a chance to win it all, who gives a fuck that’s been true in the 4 team playoff as well. Gonna get some fun first round games where skattebo goes for 200 and we get weird mountain west teams doing stuff. Celebrate the diversity of college football

I am NOT saying i don't want arizona st and Boise st in this game. That's the one redeeming quality of it to be honest.

I dont want 3 loss teams because you're diluting the regular season.

Id keep them system and do 10 teams or add another conf champion.

Like every single year there’s a Jack Gohlke in March madness who most haven’t heard of and the whole country falls in love with on a team that wins a first round upset and loses in round 2 and people are like nah we don’t want that in cfb

I really haven’t felt any dilution in the regular season, the upsets still rock and a super flawed Alabama team or whoever getting in as a low seed still gives us the opportunity to see Alabama lose a playoff game which is always fun. IMO if anything we’re just shifting some of the tension of the season into January which is fine

 

It’s just a perspective shift from “getting into the 4 team playoff is super hard and a major accomplishment” to “getting into the playoff requires a little less perfection in the regular season but you have to be fuckin real to get through unscathed”
