I like this the most out of the singles released so far, but I agree with @Crisp X about the production

The two new live songs they played in chicago were very overwhelming, only more people got into generation because spencer taught everyone the call and response (for the live stream)

also because of the livestream our set was cut short and when the sun sleeps and too bright to see were on the setlist but cut :verysad:

  3. Yeah I really dig how chaotic and loud this one is but first listen the production felt weirder than the other tracks to me. Hard to place why. I dig it but it’s gonna take a few listens. Each single has been so different I’m stoked for the full release

I like Generation more than the other singles - but what were they thinking with the chorus? It almost sounds silly. The lyrics are rather uninteresting and stale too. That said, based on the pure aggressiveness, this is a solid 8.5/10.

I like it. I actually like the production on these tracks. Yes it's loud, but it feels more "full" to me. It is a bit jarring though when you compare it to their production choices of the past.

I kind of hate how the chorus sounds on the studio version. Seems like so much fun live, but why do the drums suddenly get quieter at the moment you need them most? I feel like it should sound more like a chant with the drums sounding cannon ball-blast sharp, but instead it gets almost shoegazy. Idk. Thought it had promise, but not my thing.

  9. Production sounds so weird on all these songs, there's no punch when there should be? Baffling you want to sound this thin on record in 2025

I am loving the eclectic, almost jazz like instrumentals of these songs but this one is just okay compared to the other songs. I still enjoy it but it would be a skip for me on the album.

Alright, that's more along what I was hoping for. Still don't care much for Spencer's lyrics.

  16. Just seems fairly off to me, that chorus is crying out for room to breathe and it just gets none??

Love the thing tying the songs together is threading the needle having a very catchy, ear wormy, radio friendly part, and some heavy classic UO parts. This one has parts that give disambiguation (punk / thrashy drums in the first verse), define ( HEAVY breakdown), and lost ( dissonant guitar parts coming out of the chorus) vibes. The production was rough when I listened in the car but it sounds better with over the ear head phones. None of these songs sound like a clear cut single, seems like this is meant to be listened to as a full record. Also I would definitively say this does not sound like Erase Me which I heard a lot after teeth dropped. This has its own vibe with the blending of very sing catchy parts and heavy parts. Feels like a leap forward.

I do wish we could get this modern underoath era with an album produced by Goldman. He is by far the best at getting killer sounds from them, particularly in the drums department imo. Overall really hyped to hear this record.

Diggin how urgent this song sounds. Definitely calls back to Disabig/LITSOS at certain parts. The chorus falls short for me but the rest of it is so punchy. All 3 singles are so vastly different. I really don't know what to expect from this release.

The chorus is taking some getting used to with the call back part. They are definitely putting in some nu metal type stuff but it never gets full on cheesy. It’s a choice for sure but so far im digging the willingness to push sounds forward with a clear point of view. Creative boundaries > recycled hits.

  20. The chorus is jarring because the live version made me expect actual gang vocals but the ones on the studio version sound like kids ones but make them demented/pitched weirdly, which adds to the creepy vibe but… yeah, not what I expected. I can tell why that part goes off live the most out of the new stuff so far though.

  21. I don’t think the chorus itself is that different for them. You’re Ever So Inviting’s one has a similar feel to me?

I like the way the chorus is mixed into the instrumentals a lot because i still hate how the chorus is mixed on Hallelujah

  23. Okay, after another listen, I'm really into Generation No Surrender. Stoked for the rest SOME DAY where's my album announcement

  24. As far as videos consisting of mostly live footage goes, this one's kinda cool
