Picked up GTAV on sale on Steam for my GF and I. We've been playing online together in closed lobbies and having a lot of fun...I somehow never played V. I think I got tired replaying Vice City and IV and was on the outs with the series for years.

 

So I got a surgery coming up in a couple weeks and it turns out my stay will be an extended one, aka I may spend most of the coming holidays there. Figured I'd use the occasion to bring my barely touched Switch with me and find one or two games for those long days. I was at a secondhand shop and just bought my first game since the first lockdown. As a testament to how long it's been since I was a gamer™, just holding a physical copy brought back feelings I hadn't felt since I was gifted games for xmas or birthdays as a kid lol. Wild.

Anyway, I got Burnout Paradise Remastered. I grew up playing racing games that featured ap.net approved acts so when I saw that one had the likes of Jimmy Eat World, Saosin, Alice In Chains and others, I was like fuck yeah. I'm planning on getting Breath Of The Wild next!

I'd love to play both Super Mario Galaxy entries as well but I haven't seen them on the e-shop and it seems like the second didn't even get ported. Ah well.

 

it’s a bummer how they’ve treated the older 3D Mario games. I don’t think even that collection of remastered ones with 64, sunshine, and galaxy 1 is still available but I could be wrong. If you haven’t played Mario Odyssey, though, I can’t recommend it enough. It’s such a joyful, creative, memorable experience and it might fill that void

 

Odyssey is so damn good.

 

My brother bought Odyssey when it came out so I was able to play it. It was such a rush, I still have vivid memories of the ending level! It'd be great if I can get my hands on the All Stars collection you brought up. I missed out on Sunshine at the time and always wondered how different of an experience it was to 64. Apparently All Stars was a limited edition so I doubt I'm going to find it at an affordable price, but who knows.

I’m back on Balatro and having the time of my life but I just lost on ante 8/8 with the best deck I’ve ever built lol

 

Just beat my first purple ante with some absolutely insane joker pulls. Multipliers were going off everywhere.

 

I used the no face cards deck and went all in on flushes and straights and absolutely cleaned up

 

I'm not from the US so it'd be complicated haha, but thanks for the offer! I saw that a secondhand shop nearby is selling it for 70€. I'll just have to check if it's in good state.

That’s fine, but I just think it’s weird when people are like gloating about it esp when it’s an indie that really tried to fill a niche.
