I had to look it up too. Supposedly it stands for God Has Entered My Body, and is an acronym he’s been posting for a while. Assume it’s the title of the next album? Or working title?

Honestly his ranking is basically mine but I would swap S/T and BFIAFL. No shade to this album but the back half just drags for me a bit too much - and this is coming from someone who is totally fine never hearing Chocolate or The City ever again.

 

His is mine if you swap BF with Notes

 

His ranking is spot on. BFIAFL is good but one of their weakest

 

I agree with him other than dropping ILIWYS to the bottom

I think their latest has an incredible first five tracks, but that back half isn’t something I typically gravitate towards. I find “I’m In Love With You” cloying, “Wintering” absolutely fantastic but random as hell in the tracklist, “Human Too” nakedly emotional but ultimately lacking as a song, “About You” and “When We Are Together” pretty but examples of songs they’ve done better a few times before. It all works, it just doesn’t reach the highs of their other records.

I just relistened to ABIIOR the other day and made I’d about 40 seconds into that song before skipping it. Just absolutely awful haha

This Must Be My Dream doesn’t get enough love from the band either.

 

Be My Mistake is one of their worst songs and so far below everything else on that record it's not even funny

 

I've got complicated feelings on this band but I think Give Yourself a Try is one of the most important songs I've ever heard.

 

It's undoubtedly their best song imo. everything about it....the joy division pastiche, earnest lyrics, rock-focused, and just a siren song for a generation

 

It's just so fucking empowering, the bookends on ABIIOR are up there as their best songs for me.

 

I really like that song lyrically
