This is my clear number 1 for 2024. Plays almost like a greatest hits of my musical tastes.

No idea what would he number 2. MJ Lenderman, Origami Angel, Super American, Foxing, Wishy, Restorations, Hot Water Music... and late pushes from Father John Misty and Kendrick.

    No Fun. Not Ever.

Still my number one. Chat Pile came close but still couldn't touch it.

This isn't on Pitchfork's top 50 albums or even just rock albums??

Number 2 on Ian Cohen's list via Indiecast. Getting a lot of love on Stereogum as well, I think it could do pretty well on the reader poll after finishing 10th on the staff list.

Had somehow never checked this band out. I don’t know why, I think the name weirdly made me think they were a totally different band.

Anyway, I just checked this out after it was on The Guardians list of best albums of the year. Emo music, catchy choruses, and good lyrics that touch on politics and football? Yeah this is extremely my kind of shit.

This is their best record hands down and I really hope the reception to this re-ignites the band to do more music. They have plenty more left in the tank, clearly

I think it’s easily their most cohesive record, but I do miss the bombast and density of Romance is Boring

it’s probably my second favorite of theirs after that, which is wild because Hello Sadness was such a big album for me and there’s a shit ton of nostalgia tied to it

Gareth's on a recent The Art of Longevity podcast that's a good listen. Confirmed there will be another US tour this June and some more festival announcements coming
