Heads up that Forza Horizon 4 is being delisted on 15th December.

Has anyone played the DLC for it? Can't decide whether to just grab the standard edition or if it'd be worth getting the ultimate edition which has been pretty steeply discounted.

It really should be. Wild that one of the most acclaimed Xbox games just won't be available anymore.

Using licensed materials for your games is a tricky thing

 

Just pay the money or change the assets. Easy peasy.

They pay the money for the license to begin with but the contracts have expiration dates because that’s how licensing works, it’s way out of step with the industry which is why using licensed material is a gamble. I also don’t think it’s smart for a company that has all hands on deck right now for their next game to go back and change assets when they’ve probably made all the money they need to make from forza 4 already and the money they’d get leaving it up for sale is small pickings compared to what fable will net them

 

Anyway I completely cleared everything on the map in forza 4 when I got my pc and gamepass in 2020 so no sweat off my back

 

Looks like Playground will still be providing support post-delisting, with daily and weekly challenges still being made available. Glad we're not seeing a rerun of The Crew: Motorfest at least.

I've been sucked back into Vampire Survivors after buying the Castlevania DLC. I haven't really played it since a little while after it came out and there's *so much content* to play through now. Really enjoying diving back in

Had a bunch of fucked up dreams because of this game and I havent been able to stop thinking about it all morning. Highly recommend it to anyone who likes media that is slightly disturbing/ dark.

I think the less you know about the game going in, the better but the basic pitch is that you are following a crew of 5 people on a small cargo ship during a journey through space of about a year. The game starts halfway through the trip after the ship crashes into an asteroid and things go very badly.

 

I'm a big fan of 1st person and 3rd person games, and don't prefer one over the other, but I DO have opinions when I think a 1st person would have been better in 3rd, or vice versa. I'm very interested to see if 1st person suits this game... I was shocked as on paper, playing Indiana Jones as a brawler and with a whip screamed 3rd person. I also hope the game balances the combat and doesn't make Indy into a sharp shooting assassin who shoots first and asks questions later. I know it's gotta be enteraining for a game but it's also an established franchise and character.

I was also surprised they went first person with it. Though I did have fun with the first two wolfenstein games that Machine did so, I dunno

 

I know nothing about PoE but have been interested. is it like Diablo but with more intentional combat? that is what I’m gathering.
