Watched The Man Behind The Curtain and the the cabin scene with Jacob is so hokey I love. Can’t wait to finally show the gf the final 3 episodes so I can finally talk about it not being Pennys boat. She’s going to cry her eyes out, she loves Charlie

I often think back to that scene with Desmond and Charlie in the boat right before he dives into the water. Really beautiful

wrapped up s5 last night, on the whole I think the weakest season so far but enough good stuff to get me through. the whole arc with them stranded in the DHARMA time period felt weirdly filler-y and like they weren't sure what all the characters could do? poor Sayid, Hurley and Jin basically do nothing for half a season until the finale and they really fast forwarded through Sawyer's arc by going "hey it's been 3 years, he's grown up a bit" lol

stuff I liked, the Jacob appearance was really cool and gave you just enough of him to answer some questions without losing the mystery of what his deal is. the Locke twist also really blindsided me, genuinely creepy and unexpected stuff. Terry played that dual role so fucking well and seeing him manipulate Ben instead of the other way around for once was crazy. justice for my man Faraday too, that episode was so good but it sucks to lose such an interesting character. this show just keeps one upping with the tragic deaths, the implications of Eloise knowing his whole life that she would kill him are so fucked up lmao

Greatest Hits really hit so much more knowing the outcome

the amount of great actors this show attracts is wild. Hiroyuki Sanada and John Hawkes just rocking up outta nowhere in s6

ok the reveal that the numbers correspond to the surviving candidates is actually really cool. it doesn't fully explain the power the numbers have but it's enough of a full circle moment from s1 to be satisfying

the one thing I'm really finding unconvincing this season is Claire being the new Rousseau, in theory it kinda works but the acting is just very bad. some of the worst on the show so far

The numbers lore going beyond the show is cool. I went down rabbit holes learning about the Valenzetti Equation and such

this show is great at putting a fantastic episode in right when things are slowing down a bit and hooking you right back in. specifically Ab Aeterna which was maybe one of the best episodes of the show so far. I waited so long for some Richard backstory and it was so goddamn worth it! although I am a bit confused about the logistics of a tiny wooden boat getting lifted like a hundred feet in the air and smashing a huge stone statue to bits while remaining mostly intact itself lmao

kind of a shame Titus Welliver only plays MIB in the past because he's phenomenal in that role, he's such a great villain either way. I love how most of the conflict in this show is basically just two dudes with massive egos who can't get along (Jacob and MIB, Jack and Locke, Ben and Widmore)
