Any info on anthology vinyl quantity ? Is it really limited or fake limited ? If I have to go target at 6am I will, but I’d rather not…

From what I’ve seen, some Targets have a separate line for BF stuff and for Swift stuff. It might be a shitshow.

 

Billboard whiffing all over the place this week. Apologies to Beyonce, but if you're doing a definitive pop stars of the 21st century list, ranking Taylor anywhere but at number 1 is malpractice in and of itself, even without the unforced error of using a clip from THAT VIDEO in your explainer feature. They put a target on their backs just with the ranking, and then made themselves a much easier target. Bad all around.

 

Correct me if I am wrong but I feel like pre-this current explosion/era of Taylor she was at least closer in stature to Beyoncé. Taylor may have always had bigger sales but Billboard said sales were not the only factor and a lot of Beyoncé’s albums, 4, self-titled, Lemonade were either cultural moments or produced some classic songs. Beyoncé has obviously taken a step back from the limelight and being in the public eye sans touring but I do feel like she was a big deal for a lot of the 21st century.

 

Update: my sister in law secured both the book & vinyl for me easily a couple hours after target opened

 

keep seeing people on TikTok saying their stores have tons of copies of the book but maybe 50 copies of the record max, all of which sell out within 20 minutes

 

My main thought is that this won’t be a limited pressing by any means and it will eventually also be cheaper than $60, so I was not rushing out to get it.

 

seeing on IG that big retailers like Amazon are listing this overseas. there's no way this is limited. that Target in-store allotment is just small.

 

Would not surprise me if there’s a wider solid black variant at some point, but that Target exclusive sticker on there makes me think the marbled one is only going to be there:

Not sure when it went up, but the vinyl is up online now. Was just able to order a copy.

There is no way this won't be released somewhere else. Probably after the holiday season.

 

looks like it followed rsdbf, exclusive in stores on black friday then online after. vinyl mustve sold out as soon as it dropped on their website. cd is still available.

 

If the packaging for this is awful, people are gonna be pissed. Triple gatefold shit with sturdy individual sleeves is the bare minimum.

 

seems to be the same situation as Red and Speak Now - slightly wider gatefold with printed inner sleeves. not amazing, but definitely better than trying to smush a massive booklet directly into the gatefold (like the standard release).

 

How much is she charging for this? $80 minimum for a 4LP set? Then yeah it better be done right.
