And the late game, no hope situations

  2. A really poopy second half by the packers but thankfully the first half was very good

the problem is that they play some dogshit teams to close the year, so they'll probably get to like 8-9 or even 9-8, take themselves out of a high draft pick, and give the GM "one more chance" and they'll just come back with the same stuff next year unfortunately

until this team decides to get serious about the trenches, nothing will change.

Didn’t look super hard into this but Russell Wilson, Derek Carr, Kirk Cousins and Lamar Jackson all average less than 1 a game

Oh everyone agreed that was a bad chargers team? That feels revisionist to me

lamar had 68 turnovers his first four years in the league, without starting a full rookie season like Trevor did, and people still considered him a top 10 QB after his year 2

he’s thrown a LOT less interceptions lately and that’s been great but the fumbles are still a problem, he had 11 fumbles his last great season

Wilson and Carr from a turnover perspective, ok that’s fair but Carr is also scared to make a play and Wilson does some of the dumbest shit nowadays, would you honestly take them and fewer turnovers over Trevor?

I care about fumbles more than interceptions. If my QB throws an interception trying to do something cool, so be it. If he fumbles in the pocket, I’m going full-on monkey mode dragonball z style and blowing up a planet

I’m the opposite. I think avoiding fumbles completely is impossible for QBs to do. Does Lamar and Trevor fumble TOO much, yes absolutely, they should at least reduce it but sometimes you just can’t help when the defenders arm gets there at the right time as you’re putting together a downfield throw. They can’t just keep the ball tucked like a ballcarrier can, eventually they have to expose it, and even with insane pocket presence theyre not ALWAYS going to feel that rusher in your blind spot. I blame probably half of QB fumbles on the OL more than the QB for that reason (but some of them are avoidable and the QBs fault too)

interceptions bother me more because they are more within the QBs control. If you have shitty receivers yes a lot of them can not be your fault, because the WRs route matching your expectations is VERY important when you’re throwing timing / anticipation routes to beat the rush and take advantage of soft spots downfield.

But I feel like 80% of interceptions happen because the QB either: 1) took an unnecessary risk and irresponsibly went off script from what their progression is supposed to be 2) simply didn’t learn enough from tape on their own mistakes and other QBs mistakes in terms of, recognizing when a safety or LB is baiting you instead of not seeing them and assuming they’re out of the play. The latter I’m more willing to excuse year 1, year 2, MAYBE year 3 QBs but after that it’s a knock on you if you get fooled like that, cause you should’ve seen that before by now.

some picks are just incredible amazing plays by the defense, and some are the WR having stone hands or making a wrong read and running their option route wrong for the situation, but for the most part the QB made a bad call and the defense was disciplined enough to be in the right place.

Again Patrick Mahomes has basically the same number of fumbles in 3 more seasons worth of games lol
