I know I bring this up every so often, so apologies for sounding like a broken record, but I find myself thinking about his fascination with Hitler a lot because, like...there were people claiming it was an open secret that dated back to The College Dropout, right? But he collaborated with SO many people over the past 20 years, and so many of them more than once. We don't think a single one would have been like "Homie was reading Mein Kampf in the studio, I'm out?" It's just SO at odds with his public persona, at least at the beginning. Truly wild stuff. And this isn't me doubting it, more so just trying to wrap my brain around it.

I'm listening to my MBDTF vinyl and I forgot how stupid it is as a 3LP. Literally one of the sides is just "Monster".

 

The vinyl was also mastered terribly.

 

Maybe that's what truly makes him the Monster, putting one song on a side
