I might just go in order honestly. The sonic progression from Brown Sugar to Voodoo is cool to hear

I second @djwildefire, I’d recommend starting with his debut Brown Sugar and moving forward to the other albums.

I’ve been listening to a lot of D’Angelo this week. I think Voodoo is his magnum opus but all his albums are 10/10s.

    I’d rank them:
    Voodoo
    Black Messiah
    Brown Sugar

If we get another album at some point that’s on the level of these three I’d be very happy.

The more time goes on, the more I think I prefer Black Messiah the most. The variety on it makes it stand apart from Voodoo for me.

Saw him at Bonnaroo 2015 and in true DAngelo fashion he was like an hour late but he was fucking incredible and well worth it

I saw him in 2012 with Mary j blige and he was amazing! Will never stop kicking myself for missing him on the Black Messiah tour, don’t know what I was thinking!
