Tonight drinking bombay sapphire. I always prefer to get a local gin but it just wasnt in the timeline tonight. Also love Hendricks but its usually a few bucks more.

 

Love both Bombay and Hendricks, but same thing with the local stuff. Bombay is so weird in thinking about it. It’s like the most quintessential “this is what gin tastes like” product. I’m not sure if any other liquor carries that same vibe. Crown for Canadian whiskey maybe?

“I’ve never had Mac and cheese as good as Tini’s” yeah probably because you don’t have any black friends close enough to invite you to the family function where Auntie Jeanelle has been making mac and cheese that good for 37 years

 

This is a very good point haha, bombay is my "this is what gin is" gin - i splurge for tanq when theres a deal but usually the local distilleries will make a good citrus gin that just slaps.

 

The whole concept functions much like how white people didn’t really care about doo wop until the Beatles aped it lol

 

it was really funny seeing every seasoning in stock except for the ones she uses for her recipe honestly lol and then also quite sad like damn it took her to do this

 

Just gonna say she did just marry a black man, and his family loves her food. I’d imagine she took some inspiration from their cooking being around them.

Obviously she benefits from being white but she was on a network cooking show (hosted by Gordon Ramsey lol) and made it pretty far. I think she is a good cook in her own right.

 

I would die for tini and i fuckin love next level chef lol

 

It’s a great show! Honestly my second favorite cooking comp behind Top Chef.

I don’t really watch any of Gordon’s shows where he’s a hard ass but he’s really good on Next Level Chef.

 

Bruh after the other day idk if I'll complain about normal traffic ever again lol. Two coworkers came in complaining about it too and neither of them live in my neighborhood
