Date hardcore kids and pretend to love EVERY "hardcore" bands that comes out. You'll fit right in.

 

Also I'll probably get dragged for this but my hot uneducated take after listening to five minutes of the new Opeth... this is too Dream Theater-y for me.

 

As a resident metal chick I prefer my male suitors to have a taste for music just as grimy as mine. So disappointing when I tell a guy I'm into heavy shit and he says "yeah same" only to find out that I was referring to Amputated Genitals while he was referring to I Prevail.

Or you could just date and marry normies like my wife and have a happy life and two kids with a shelf for all of the stupid music I'm into. There's not one set path for bliss in life so I'd just trust your gut and have fun with things. Personally, if I limited my dating pool to the women in metal and hardcore I've met over the years, I'd probably have not been as satisfied with how things have turned out as they have for me now (my shit during my 20s was half the issue with that, but that's a time and place thing).

Precisely this. My wife only listens to hispanic music and k-pop (with the occasional metalcore exceptions) and we have done just fine.

 

lmao my wife tricked me in the beginning because she loved "Chelsea Smile" from BMTH. Little did I know that was about the extent of her enjoyment of anything remotely heavy. Still confuses me til this day

More like he's abusing himself; dude needs some serious mental health help. Not sure how the video leaked/got it, but hopefully it stops people around him enabling him.
