For all of it's faults, I'm on Apple Podcasts. It just works - it's all I want out of a glorified RSS client. I'm grandfathered in some way with Pocket Casts and would recommend that but if you need the additional features it's far too expensive compared to Overcast.

I can't get myself to use Apple Podcast because there isn't a view that's the equivalent to the "current" view on Overcast.. I just want a view that shows me only shows with unplayed episodes and I can't seem to find a way to do that in Apple. I've been playing around with free Pocketcasts, and am thinking about doing the first year for $20 promotion they have, but feel like that's too much as it is, and I refuse to pay $40.

 

You want to see it by show, not by episode?

 

Trying to figure out what I buy before next year so they’re still affordable.

 

I constantly resume an episode of overcast, it crashes and starts another episode in my queue. It’s been happening almost daily and driving me nuts. I don’t mind the redesign or the price increase, but Marco should have gotten the bugs fixed before adding “new” features and raising the price. I don’t know if his blinders are on or what, but my issues are way bigger than not liking the new layout. If it doesn’t get fixed soon I’ll be switching after using overcast since day 1.

Overcast is as buggy or buggier then Sonos.

 

Yep, this happens every single day ... sometimes more than this ... I've had to hit "back" 15 times before and it is infuriating!

 

My nightmare every time I open Overcast.

Yall are gonna make me switch back to Apple Podcasts. And I never realized some of the issues with overcast that I have may just be bugs and not a result of the shitty service coverage I get

 

My only hope is it’s a 1.0 product and it’ll get better

After some googling last night I found the TestFlight version of Overcast and it hasn’t crashed yet today.

 

Maybe I’m weird but I have zero interest in the AI notification summaries. Definitely turning that off lol
