  5. Just finished my first play through. The literal only strike against it is that it ends. Flawless victory.

  6. I love all the (I assume) nods to Madonna, Bjork, 90s Europop, Hole, Deftones, etc etc that are all over this thing. I love this shit. Have it on repeat.

I’ve lost count on how many times I’ve played this in the last week. Every time I listen I hear a new influence.

Surviving on Defiance sounds inspired by Deftones. Title track sounds like Hole, Smashing Pumpkins and AFI all in one. And The Centers Falling Out sounds like she took notes when she did that Knocked Loose song.

  8. “Push Go” is totally “Beautiful Stranger” by Madonna and it’s amazing. The verse at least.

I feel like anyone who likes MUSIC in general could find something to love in the Crystalized-Nothing stretch. And then Center is just a sledgehammer through your skull.

"New Way Out" is such a great song with a nice punch of energy for it's later placement on the album. Really, really love this album.

I'm pretty new to Poppy, what's her draw typically like? This tour is hitting a 2,700 capacity venue here in NY. Wondering if it'll be a quick sell out or if I can wait until next year to grab a ticket.

hard to say with the new album but you can usually wait with her in a venue that size

This is so fucking good, I don’t even know where to start. I admittedly flock sooner to the more melodic tracks (have you had enough, the cost of giving up, crystallized-nothing run, surviving on defiance) but holy shit, it’s a flat out no skips barnburner.

I'm surprised this still didn't debut in the Top 200 this week. It looks like on Spotify the album generated over 20 million total streams, and I know there were a bunch of vinyl options.

I don't know when the Spotify Wrapped cut off is/was, but I've played the shit out of this album in the last 10 days. Probably more than any other album this year.

For every boomer making comments saying they were offended by them on television I hope there's a young kid seeing them and being inspired for wanting heavier music in the future, what a great moment in time for everyone.
