    new song is very fun

honestly sounds more like what a third afterman album would sound like to me rather than the NWFT comparisons I've seen

Totally agreed with you, a lot of prog vocalists are more acquired tastes for me, but the bands you listed are also some where I’ve grown to really love the vocals… but also the instrumentals are often the highlight for me too.

Coheed is really picking up the pace with these 2 singles. Sonny is 170bpm and Searching is 172bpm. When was the last time they had 2 songs that fast on an album? Feels like it's been awhile

What a whacky box set. Had to get one.

    The spiciest meme

Just listened to both singles for the first time

Wow how on earth do some people not like Blind Side Sonny???? Coheed going full on punk rock is fuckin sick, and I love Claudio going a bit harsher with his voice on the verses. What a great song!

Searching for Tomorrow is definitely the safer, more standard Coheed like others have said which is still also great!

After hearing it on a bit louder volume a few times in the car, I LOVE the new single. I retract my concerns about the production.

Yeah unfortunately Blind Side Sunny still doesn’t work for me after revisiting it alongside Searching for Tomorrow

But it seems like from the two singles we’ve got so far, TFoMB is going to be one of their “heaviest” and most punk influenced records. Fucking bring it

We reach for the longest shadow

Somehow it hit me last night, and it's kind of surprising no one here has said it yet: Searching for Tomorrow feels VERY Comatose.

It definitely feels like a continuation of Vaxis II as a whole but I think there’s something different here too.

It’s Coheed and they have pretty consistently delivered something fresh each time. Does anyone else feel really into the new song when it comes out, listens back to the old or even last record and feel like it’s just not enjoyable? I’ve really only felt this way about this band. Seeing them play live is a whole different thing, I love hearing all the old and new stuff. It’s just a weird sensation I’ve had that seems to only happen with this band, for me.

They’ve done this on everything since Afterman- CD boxset first and vinyl announcement later, it’s really fucking annoying!
