Ah a fellow uncharted 4 enjoyer has logged on

 

Picked up Dead Cells again and it's really clicked this time around, to the point where I'm not sure why I wasn't feeling it on previous attempts. Feels good to have another rogue to sink my teeth into but rip my back catalog.

Dead Cells is fantastic and their love for other indie games really shines through with all of the little easter eggs. I've been meaning to try out the Castlevania DLC they did but I know when I do I'll end up playing it for like a month straight lol

 

All the naughty dog news is so cryptic and confusing that I'm just going to tune it out at this point. Last week it was that a game had been in development for 5 years and it was Sony's decision on when to announce details, and now it's that Troy Baker has JUST been cast. There's rumors of multiple projects going on none of which are confirmed to the be last of us 3, interviews about boundary pushing difficulties in development etc. etc (possibly 1st person for the first time, possibly VR).

Since they've made several of my favorite games, and I am eagerly anticipating what's next, I'm just going crazy with all the speculation articles so time to tune it all out until a 'beefy' announcement is made. IE - The only headline I want to read next is 'CONFIRMED - NAUGHTY DOGS NEXT GAME IS BLANK'.

 

I hadn't heard about some of that news but man I really hope the VR/FPS stuff isn't true. Would much rather them continue to excel in their wheelhouse and give us either a new IP, which I'd be more than happy with, or a sequel of some sorts

 

I can confirm that Naughty Dog's next game is not BLANK

 

If anyone's a Walmart+ subscriber I'll give you the money to get this early

I started lies of p last night and I think it’s pretty good except the attack animations for the weapon I chose, the heavy and charged attack doing that stupid fencing thing where you attack and back up is so fucking stupid it feels horrible

 

I still can't believe Lies of P is so beloved when Lords of the Fallen and similar games aren't... it's really not that special. And SO. Fucking. Linear.

 

I’ll probably try lords of the fallen pretty soon, got it for dirt cheap last year during the winter sale but haven’t done anything besides the tutorial section

 

it’s VERY linear. I still loved it tho. I thought they added a lot of little quality of life things too that were nice.

I’ve heard that lords of the fallen has pretty bad issues with the numbers of enemies in areas - did you find that to be the case?

 

Lies of P has a great art style, reminds me a bit of dishonored

 

Moonscars is solid. Got a fair bit in but got stuck on a boss, need to go back to it eventually.

 

I can’t say enough nice things about LotF. I’ve played it after various patches and except for the first boss I found it to be piss easy, and I am not a good souls player.

 

I liked Deaths Gambit a lot but it is quite difficult. If you are ok with that, it is a great little hidden gem.

 

Islets. The other two are bleh
