It's a very fun show. Season 1 is the best, season 2 has a dip, season 3 has been mostly great aside from a side plot with some characters that I'm just fucking sick of lol

Seriously the most answers we've ever been given by a long shot, even with references to season 1

Starting to think that Boy in White and Man in Yellow are kind of like... Dueling Gods in Fromville. Maybe the BiW was... More in charge in the beginning with a mini paradise for the people. The MiY, acting as a corrupt devil, influenced people to do something truly evil in exchange for immortality, giving him more control and power over Fromville. The BiW is doing his best to try and restore order

    I like that theory.

Also how good was Harold this episode? Hell the entire season he's been phenomenal but this episode he really brought it.

Yeah this is exactly what I’m thinking. Sort of like a Jacob and Man in Black Lost situation. Man in Yellow is some sort of evil, demonic presence that manipulated the townspeople into this deal that would give them eternal life, but the deal came at the cost of their souls because they had to murder children to attain it. So they became these monsters instead of what they’d hoped for. The people who did not sign up for the figurative deal with the devil got caught up in the “spell” or “enchantment” or whatever that fell over the town and thus keep reincarnating and being drawn back to Fromville in an attempt to save themselves and the children who were sacrificed. People like Julie, Randall, and Marielle are given the ability to “Story Walk” in an attempt to alter the past (which is why we saw Future Julie trying to save Jim at the end there). My assumption is that the Boy in White is some sort of force for good trying to lead them to the conclusion that the only way to break the spell is to go back far enough in time to stop the deal with devil from ever happening in the first place.

Eion Bailey has signed on for season four to play Jim again so I’m fairly certain we’re going to start seeing Julie time hopping repeatedly in an attempt to save Jim. I’m already seeing some theories floating around that she could end up succeeding, only for the Man in Yellow to take over Jim’s body (ala The Man in Black and Locke on Lost) to mess with the people in town.

Overall I enjoyed the season as a whole - though I do kind of think Harold Perrineau’s statements at the start of the season had me expecting it to get even more violent and dark than it ultimately did. The mysteries I’m most interested in now going forward are “what are those supposedly giant things out in the woods making loud noises at night that no one has seen yet”, “what are the statues”, “are the supposedly giant things spiders and that’s why Boyd was caught up in all that webbing”, and “is that dummy really just a dummy and if so then why do we keep getting glimpses of it screaming if Victor is actually remembering Christopher conversing with the boy in white”, and also “is the Man in Yellow also the one who was calling Jim on the phone pretending to be his son?”
