    Still need to see Heretic and Demi is obviously a lock but I wanna give it up for Hartnett having a blast and just absolutely chewing the shit out of that role lol

    Watched Dead of Night (1945) last night as part of my Holiday Horror watchlist. About as hit or miss as most anthologies, but the golf segment is SO funny and the ending legitimately transforms it into a great film, it wanders into Late Night with the Devil territory (would be shocked if it wasn't an inspiration for the finale) and feels super innovative and scary for the time. Really had a blast with it.

    Has anyone watched The Creep Tapes yet? I'm partway through my rewatch of the original and it's honestly not as interesting as I remember. I do seem to recall the second movie have more twists and turns, though

    The short form episodes doesn’t do the concept any service, that’s for sure. The reason the films worked was the time it took to get to the payoff and the build-up of dread. You barely have a minute to become invested in anything that’s happening in these episodes. Bums me out.. I absolutely love Duplass.
