I’ve listened to this 6 times and it does get better and better - which is how I feel about all of his projects

Definitely feel the west coast influence. The synth bass bapping in wacced out murals sounds like Nipsey Hussle's "Last Time I Checked", even the line "Never let no one put smut up on your name" is to me a lyrical reference of the same song. Fantastic first listen.

I didn’t realize a GNX was a car so when my coworker said hey a Kendrick album dropped called GNX and I was like you are full on lying to me

my surprise when I went to lunch and saw 6 texts telling me hey the Kendrick album dropped lmao

Luther is a vibe. Need to go for a drive with this one. Also, surprise albums > all.

Wow everyone that’s been hating on Jack Antonoff is going to be backpedaling so hard after this. Will be funny to watch.

My only issue i think is that the vocal mix sounds disconnected from the production, like it’s on top of the beat in a weird way. It’s like mixtape quality.

Also, the song(s) from the trailer for the album need to come out ASAP.

I don't know enough about Jack Antonoff to have any strong opinions on him (i'm not very dialed in to the swiftie-verse) but all the production here is great

Squabble Up, Reincarnated, TV Off, and Heart pt. 6 stood off the most on first listen.

This is probably going to be my favourite release of his since TPAB.

I don't want to rush to conclusions but Reincarnated is clearly one of the best he's ever done

Peekaboo is the first miss for me, that hook is almost as annoying as the many annoying hooks on Morale

yeah I'll see how it settles but this is the strongest first impression I've had from him since untitled unmastered, ridiculously fun and entertaining stuff. perfect balance of bangers to more thoughtful material, Heart Pt 6 is gorgeous (poor Ab Soul dropping his album a week before this lol)

Yeah I don’t think GKMC or TPAB are touchable at this point. Just two stone cold classics. But yeah def better than DAMN and MMATBS
