Black Christmas 4k playing at the theater one mile from my house, things are looking UP

 

Yesss can't wait for Black Christmas! I watched it last year for the first time, and I've been telling my friends to watch it. So this will be perfect. I'll tie them up and drag them all to see it with me.

 

Hell yea.. Just saw Black Christmas for the first time last year. All considered.. it’s amazing how well it holds up. My cousin is 15 and not at all a film nerd. He just brought up this week that him and his gf watched and loved it.. cuteness overload.

 

Halfway through The Substance. WOW! Everyone is amazing and I’m incredibly unsettled. Body horror is the only sub genre out there that still makes me cover my eyes, yet my wife is living her best life watching this rn.

 

Question for people who’ve seen The Substance..

My wife just caught that the teeth of the characters are more yellow based on their level of moral character. Harvey’s are fully yellow and Elisabeth’s are pure white. Sue’s are half and half. Anyone know if this is intentional or not??

 

i noticed this too. i don't know if it's intentional though. i believe Sue's teeth at the beginning definitely looked whiter, and later on they looked more yellow (notably during the "you have to con-trol your-SELF" scene). but i haven't watched in a while, so i can't say for sure.

Damn, MadS managed to be a lot more than just a sick technical achievement. A really fun twist on the zombie genre.

Oh my goddddd the needle yank in Smile 2 is one of the toughest I've ever seen. I kept covering my eyes, but then it would flash back to the mother and I was STRUGGLING

 

Yeah, Smile 2 was a banger. Genuinely upsetting, great gore, Naomi Scott is great, and I like that it bent more psychological than supernatural this time. Honestly may have been even better as a standalone without the Smile gimmick attached to it, but a banger nonetheless. I was pleasantly surprised with the first film, but I feel like they definitely leveled up here (even if it's about 15 minutes too long)

 

yeah Smile 2 is so good, in any other year it could easily be top three for sure.
