I'm glad there's an artist that's put into feeling when I'm at a BBQ getting my hot dog and looking for some condiment to put on it :folded:

Awesome that right after I saw the news I had the perfect car trips for this.
Album is everything we were needing as a complement to the last records.

  16. "TV off" is even more blatant imo but the best switch makes it

I think this is about Andrew Schulz, but it could be any number of shitty "comedians" tbh

  17. Imma keep it a buck, I definitely like this but it's also the coldest I've felt on day one listens of a new Kendrick project. Two tracks that sound like "Not Like Us," plus I think "Peekaboo" and the title track are pretty obnoxious. But also I love what Kendrick does, I like that he sounds more casual here, and I'm excited for this to continue to grow on me. It does drive me insane when something is out for like seven hours and professional reviewers are calling it his best lol

I somehow never listened to Not Like Us. I just didn’t give a shit about the Drake beef lol. So this feels very fresh to me.

The Drake Stans malding on Twitter are pretty damn funny.

I think the mixture of vibes he was already working within for the album when the beef escalated and the involvement of Mustard on NLU and GNX make those similarities a bit more glaring. The fact that NLU blew up the way it did just makes it even more obvious. I don't subscribe to the idea that there's another album coming anytime soon, but there were some rumors that he was working on a West Coast-based record as well as a more concept-driven album for the future so maybe that tracks. Just happy to have a casual/fun and lightweight album from him right now, it's a quick listen to me.

If I can't put on We Cry Together to bump with my homies, frankly they don't deserve NLU or this album

I did in fact once listen to We Cry Together in the car with the homies. It was a remarkable experience.

I don’t think it sounds like Not Like Us so much as it sounds like west coast rap. Imo doing it in a more fun way here than he did on GKMC, an album I still don’t love
