  1. congrats on having TWO of the most "what the fucking fuck" takes I've read this week!

  2. iCarly Rae Jepsen

    run away with me Platinum

they'll work it out on the remix
it is funny that they both have Pitchfork coded fanbases

I like most of his work with LDR and I really like what he did with Spoon on "Wild" but overall I just do not like the sound of his stuff.

he’ll live forever in the sound of broken glass Supporter

I don’t usually like Antonoff at all, and i guess idk what he did here exactly, but this album sounds great imo

  6. haha, yeah, this sounds incredible. I think he's one of like 10 people with credits here, but my word inject this sound into my veins.

It’s a perfect day for letting go... Supporter

Jammed it in the car and on headphones. Def feels like low key more of a headphones record. Lots of stuff going on sonically. Second half feels stronger to me than the first. Overall super pleased. TV off is BANANAS

this is such a fun victory lap of an album. Idk where it “ranks” obviously but it’s definitely gonna be in rotation way more than Mr. Morale, which I enjoyed but was much more uneven/difficult.

Completely disinterested in the “Is Jack Antanoff the pop music Antichrist” conversation but I’ll say this is maybe my favorite sounding Kendrick album since TPAB.

  14. Less ranking and more Antonoff discourse imo because idk where he pulled this out of

yeah, hard to rank this one. TPAB will always take the top spot, but this will probably rank pretty high for me (amidst a consistently amazing discography, because i don't think there's an objectively bad Kendrick album)

He's been working with Sounwave quite a bit over the years. They did the whole Red Hearse album together with Sam Dew on vocals. Not so much commenting on the sound of the production itself which is what I assume you're talking about, but the foundation for him being in the room and working on this was definitely in place for a while.

I like it way more than this tbh

  24. Yeah, I know Sounwave was also on Masseduction, just never anticipated a full Kendrick album being produced by Antonoff.
