    Really enjoyed the vast majority of this. Lost me for a minute or two here and there but overall he hit the mark.


    Also morale is an incredibly slept on album that is almost unfair to compare to this since it’s so conceptual and heavy thematically where this on first brush seems like a light (as light as Kendrick can be anyway) collection aiming for maximum enjoyment. Morale is almost the opposite in a way lol. Morale almost doesn’t want you to enjoy it, it wants you to hear it and experience it.

    I think the better way to phrase it is I enjoy this "mode" of kdot more than morale. but both are incredible and it's intended to be that way I guess
