12 songs in and this live album is incredible

 

Holy shit. I was expecting great things but this surpassed anything I could have imagined. I can’t believe we are getting two more.

 

The recordings are so fucking good. I didn’t know how this band would translate in a live recording, but damn it’s so good.

Bummed about the AI art. It looks worse than their usual art and I’m pretty firmly against AI in creative work anyways, personally.

 

I don't think they used any AI for the album cover, just a t-shirt design. But I agree that I'm not super into the design which is quite a bummer.

Also don't have the cash for this right now but I can't wait to hear this, glad to hear it sounds awesome!

I’ve messaged Mike and they don’t have it anymore - he said they try to do the best shipping value that they can. I think I’m going to go digital now and order all of them in the summer in one go.

haven’t been able to fully look into this. am I understanding it right that it’s a collection of live performances from their history on vinyl? If so we NEED the audio tree rendition of red cow. it’s a perfect expression of that song and gives me the chills every time. I’ll bit on all of these probably. That white long sleeve rules. Been waiting for merch I can’t resist .

Sorry if this was already stated somewhere, but will the album on streaming on the 22nd also have no track titles?

 

this was in the digital download of the album.

 

Ended up pre-ordering the digital as the shipping was too much for the UK and I’ll wait and see if there’s a trilogy release next year instead.

Only frustration is that the physical pre-orders came with an instant download but the digital pre-order I guess I have to wait until the 22nd! I was ready and open for a live mewithoutYou experience!

The description on the pre-orders suggests that it’s from shows from their final few tours, so don’t think you’ll be in luck with that version.

Also from the website, the title is pronounced "liv" which is awesome (though it keeps messing me up when I go to pronounce it in my head).

 

It feels great to say, “Happy mewithoutYou release day” once again. I can’t wait to see that Flounder variant in person!

Also, I’m curious if/when this one will reach the Spotify/Apple Music/Tidal/etc. streaming realm.

"Got an email this morning at 5:30 am from our distributor that they halted the release because of the formatting of some metadata. Things like the word “Vol.” couldn’t be in parentheses. I’m not kidding. Very very very annoying. Really could’ve used this information at any other point in the past week.

It will be streaming on bandcamp today and YouTube later today and once we get the metadata sorted out, it will be on every platform. Very sorry for this delay."

 

Good to know that I'm not the only one that is a radical procrastinator.

Where are the track titles?

You may notice that the track names on Live (vol. One) have been removed from the metadata and replaced with "Song" followed by the sequence number.

This was done to allow the songs to reveal themselves to listeners as they would in a live show setting. We believe this provides the most enjoyable way to experience the album, and we encourage you not to skip ahead.
