Quick reading updates:

I am sooo sooo close to being able to start dawnshard and then rhythm of war, so I'm hoping that by the time I travel for the holidays I can start the new book and have it available during plane fights and general holiday downtime.

My other holiday wishes are that we get a release date for both Suneater book 7 and the follow up to the will of the many, and some solid news on the hexologists sequel. After my sanderson binge is done, I still need to read the 1st Hexlogists though. That was definitely a case of the right book at the wrong time. I loved Senlin and I am sure I will love the hexologists, just couldn't focus on it at the time I was reading it.

Final thing that would be nice before the end of the year is a wheel of time season 3 release date! Though I anticipate an unsatisfying conclusion due to cancellation, the 3rd season is meant to cover a big chunk of book 4. I've read March unofficially all over the internet so lets hope it's true.

I've got all those (minus SA) to look forward to but ive not read Hexologists. I'm going to read a few other series next year, including my Sun Eater re-read. Next year is for me to read some series i never got round to e.g. Licanius and Osten Ard.

I will say that Wind & Truth continues to exceed RoW for me and Szeth is up higher on my favourites list.

 

I love the end of the year because I get so many grand ideas about what series I’m finally going to catch up on the next year.

I think he just meant it might and it would lead to an unsatisfying conclusion.

I’ve read that renewal after season 3 depends on viewer metrics, unlike the previous seasons’ greenlights, which were pretty much a given.

 

Dresden has turned into my comfort read

 

It hasnt been officially, but my hopes for a 4th season are low. I think the plan will be to go out on a high with this season and quietly announce it. Itll kill all hype for a 3rd season to say this is it, so thats my gut feeling of how it will go down.

If you’re having trouble thinking of a book to gift, I think a perfect fallback is always a signed paperback or three of a cool cozy spooky high fantasy series, maybe one with a dog, maybe even self-published by a friend online??
