Just about able to listen to that, still. A Good Reason to Grow Old DESTROYS me and the Mastersystem record is basically off limits.

 

To this day, it’s the only “celebrity” death that’s had an emotional impact on me.

 

still never managed to listen to that Mastersystem album, just seems like it will destroy me. Owl John fucking rules though. Cold Creeps is perfect

 

Mastersystem is maybe the most foreboding album i know of. It’s an awesome record, but it is too clear of a look into his frame of mind at that stage of his life for me to listen to. I listened to it twice and, while i think it’s great, i can’t imagine listening to it and then going about daily life.

 

Old Team is one of Scott's best songs.

'Notes..' and 'Bird Is Bored...' are tough lyrically but I really loved the lyrical output on that album compared to the latter FRabbit stuff.
