my team absolutely stinks like shit i might sneak in a W this week due to byes, but can't see myself progressing much further. time for the conglo to play spoiler

 

Joined this league in 2010 apparently. 2011 is when we started doing 12 teams and current rules.

In 13 seasons I’ve made playoffs in over half of them (7), and I’ve gotten past the quarterfinal in 6 of those, but despite winning 5 third place games I am 0-6 in the semifinals lol

 

I’ve got 2 wins and 2 2nds—4 medals in 15 years is aiiight but I gotta step my game up

 

I have more medals than you but have made SIGNIFICANTLY less money back lol

 

I won this league in 2014 and 2019. Everyone else can suck it.

 

It’s actually insane to think how long we’ve been doing this league. It’s one of my favorite leagues for the parity and the fact that everyone takes it seriously.

With my desperate bye-induced starts of Dylan Laube and Alec Pierce today I just realized that 6 of my 8 starters this week are white dudes. Can’t be good

I am up to 3rd in the league in points, only ~30 behind Randall

 

Playing Saquon in two leagues today, fun stuff

 

LMAO with a few more Lamar Jackson points the 9-seed and 10-seed teams, after each having really good weeks, will leapfrog the four teams ahead of them (who all lost) and get back into the last two playoff spots

that’s insane parity as we enter the final two weeks. Me, KJ, Center Cut and Damage have all but locked up playoff spots but seeds 5 & 6 still very much up for grabs. Damage’s team could collapse and miss the playoffs but I doubt it at this point

 

@foolton probably has to win out because of points but theoretically every other team seeds 5-10 still isn’t totallly eliminated if they get another L

 

from 10th to 5th in one week is kinda wild lol

 

Didn’t get the 25 points each from Hurts and Henry that i wanted to surge ahead of KJ, but I’m glad that them combining for 26 to get me the W was a pretty safe bet

still gained a few points on KJ and only 20 away. Still very much on the table for me to win most points if I finish strong

 

It is admittedly fucking hilarious to me that the only reason I won this, is because I left my bye week kicker in against Las Vegas cause they suck, and he scored 22 fuckin points lmao. That’s gotta be like the most points by a kicker all year. “Kickers don’t matter” my ass, everything went wrong for me and right for @Night Channels for his team to upset me except the kicker lol

 

Oh and that last minute comeback attempt by Chicago that ultimately didn’t matter. DJ Moore more than doubled his points from 3 minutes remaining until overtime lol

sometimes it really be picking a smart flex, kicker, TE, and/or defense that wins you the game

 

this is exactly proof of why Kicker is a crapshoot and not a fun part of the game though. Just because you luckily got 22 from a dude because the team he plays for played another crappy team isn’t skillful or fun imo. I don’t revel in the fact that I got 12 from Jason Sanders to help me win—I think it’s stupid.

To me the fun of FF is evaluating the talent of players and enjoying when the evaluation melds with situation and pays off. Picking a dude simply based on the team they play for and who they’re playing against and getting lucky that the coach had them kick FGs instead of going for it is just not “fun” for me. But ‍♂️clearly y’all love kickers cuz we vote every year and here they still are

 

it’s the Broncos (an offense with a good playbook designed well for easy chunk yards, that gets down the field a lot, but also has a lot of miscues in the red zone with a rookie QB and mostly young unproven weapons) in an away game in a dome against the Raiders (a bad team whose defense tightens up in the red zone against wide receivers but gets fatigued easily in games cause their offense doesn’t keep the ball). The Broncos kicker is 89% on his field goals this year as well, one of the highest percentages, he can be relied on to convert when called upon.

Conditions were perfect to put up a lot of kicker points. It might be a little nebulous to figure out which kickers will and won’t score at times but it’s absolutely not a total crapshoot like you suggest. There’s no reason to go for it on 4th down if you’re staying ahead of a team that keeps letting you into field goal range when you have a K you trust to make multiple 50 yarders.

 

I left Will Lutz in for a reason it wasn’t just by chance haha, i deliberately made that call
