    idk man

Streets are saying the Wicked movie are good (the streets in question are my theater friends so there is 1000% bias but I still trust them)

In high school we had the choice of reading either Wicked or Wuthering Heights and I was the only student who chose Wuthering Heights which made cheating on the project so much harder.

I only ever watched it when Blank Check was covering Musker & Clements and I thought it was fine. I don't plan to see Moana 2 in theaters

  7. i know nothing about Wicked except that it's longer than the entire play and only covers half of it

I tried reading Wicked recently and had to tap out. I’m actually surprised it would be assigned in high school. Terribly written and offputtingly sexual

That’s batshit crazy. They go to a sex club and a college kid is sexually assaulted by a tiger. Bananas to want to discuss that book with teenagers

  13. meh I was reading Palahniuk in high school

Me too. And Burroughs and shit. I take more issue with an AP Lit class allowing Wicked instead of just requiring Wuthering Heights

  15. I had an AP lit class where we were allowed to pick our own novel to do a report on and I ended up going with naked lunch

I wrote a report on Chuck Palahniuk's Lullaby in 9th grade honor's English, which was certainly a choice. Other friends did similar edgy books. My teacher loved it though, and she was one of only two teachers from high school that left an impact on me. Still friends with her online today, and seeing all the comments of appreciation from prior students on her posts to this day just tells me how great she truly was.

Y'all acting like I'm being puritanical when I just meant that you'd have to waterboard me to discuss that with a group of teenagers

I let my kids pick their book for their semester book and they are picking stuff like Harry Potter and Diary of a Wimpy Kid. I teach seniors.

One of the kids I like decided to do Julius Caesar. Maybe I will buy him some pizza.
