Full Gear card looks meh, pretty sure I could go if I wanted to but these matches don’t intrigue me

the booking has been so bad lately

 

what specifically has been bad to you?

 

there's nothing I'm raving about but I can't think of anything that's all that bad

 

just feels like the wrong guys are in the main event pictures and the bigger stars are toiling in mid card shit for whatever reason

no reason why Osprey shouldn't be the biggest fucking star in that promotion right now.


I do love what they are doing with Swerve and Lashley

wish they had something better for Jay White and Hangman Page as well

just really need Kenny back I think.

 

ospreay is def the most over babyface for sure and i'm hoping his promo line from last week where he talked about how there has been 4 champions since he's arrived and none of them can hold a candle to him on PPV was the foundation for an eventual match between him and moxley at wrestle dynasty. makes sense biz wise since they're both 'NJPW' guys but once again im just a message board poster

 

i love AEW but with the lackluster crowds it creates a poor atmosphere even if they're technically telling pretty cool stories lately. only thing I can think of that is outright bad IMO is the adam cole stuff, it is falling completely flat. i know a lot of heads hate the moxley angle but i'm enjoying it. looking forward to 2025. i think this year has been an overall better year for them than last year in terms of match and angles and has produced two of their best shows of all time (revolution/all in)

im just happy i dont have to worry about them going away anytime soon lol

 

a whole role model

 

I would rather not have Ospreay in OC's current role. OC has been there from the beginning and is the heart and soul of AEW (Like Tommy Dreamer was for ECW) and Ospreay is busy making Fletcher into a star and settling his feud with the Callis family.

I do agree it's super predictable but for once the card doesn't feel like 70% of it was thrown in last minute and it's mostly actual feuds that are being built for awhile now.

Also, if Ospreay in the C2 would be so much better than him being a champ right now.

 

Idk I’ve just been bored with wrestling lately and I really can’t pin point why. It’s been a while since I’ve felt this way were neither company atm is really doing it for me

I just feel like we should be super stoked about these next two weekends as wrestling fans and like the feeling isn’t there.

 

hopefully lower expectations leads to over delivering major shows across the board

 

I’ve definitely had thoughts of “am I watching this because I like it or out of habit” at points over the last month or so

 

I haven’t watched one of the weekly shows in months. I’ll catch the AEW PPVs because in ring they almost always deliver but I just don’t have time or interest in watching either product weekly.

 

Weird, I feel the opposite. Aside from like 2021, I cant remember a time AEW was creating so many new stars in one fell swoop. Mariah May, Kyle Fletcher, the renewed Garcia push, Outrunners rising. The Mox/OC is a bit rushed cause Danielson was clearly f'd up, as is Stat/Mercedes simply because Mercedes is kinda meh. Ive liked every other story going and Im thinking the time frame from Worlds End/WrestleDynasty to All In is gonna be amazing.

 

Also hopefully this is the last year war games is treated is an annual ppv. It lost its fire.

 

On my end, I have watched 0% and was just judging my reaction to seeing the full card posted on IG. If Drew hates it though I prob would have enjoyed the booking lol.
