I think what he should have realized before all this, is before taking on a tour with bands you aren’t really familiar with, you should do some research on those artists. Adam has done a lot of good in metal, but this was a bad choice and then he more or less didn’t take any ownership for not doing his due diligence.

All you had to do was say "we fucked up and we'll do better next time". You don't have to implode your career for your fans and other bands including Alpha Wolf and Fit For A King wanting to advocate for safer scenes and feeling safe at your shows. Also not to mention this isn't the first time that Oceano has broken up because Adam can't stand the industry. I give it 2-3 years and they'll be back.

Biggest amphitheater in my market announced they’re gonna start charging $20 for parking in 2025. It has always been free parking, and is at least a 20-30 minute walk from the nearest street and business parking options.

Suddenly I don’t feel bad about sneaking into the pit for multiple shows there the last few years

The cheapest parking in my area is $40 and I regularly have to pay $60+ for arena shows. Eras tour parking was $80. Ridiculous

Yeah parking is outrageous at some of these venues. I'm going Mariah Carey in a few weeks and we just learned that parking is $60. Pretty sure when I saw Blink 182 at Citi Field in the summer it was also $60+

When I saw Weezer in LA last month, parking was $68. Parking was literally more than the cost of a single ticket.

FWIW, it was a really convenient spot with easy access to the venue, but paying it still sucked.

But seriously, big shoutout to all the venues in my area. All of them still have reasonable parking costs. Observatory in Santa Ana has consistently been $10, even after the pandemic. House Of Blues is usually only $4 after the venue validates parking (although it used to be free with validation). I think Honda Center is still only $20. And Five Point in Irvine was always free parking.

Another reason why I don’t like going to LA for shows

John // OC now, OH forever.

I’ve noticed HOB having the gate up for parking almost every time I’ve been there in the last year too.

That's why I remind myself when I see a whole $1000 + taken out for NYC specific tax each year, it's cool I get to ride to a MLB stadium for $2.90.

I’m glad that there’s still like 20-25 dollar parking near most of the venues here in Houston or also lots of free street parking options.

So this is WAAAAAAY off topic but as a NYC dude who was out in LA and driving, I felt like a total tourist not understanding the valet parking customs. It's like your car is in prison. Are you supposed to tip multiple people who handle your car or just the person that delivers it? Was always a super anxiety-driving moment for me especially as someone who typically does not carry cash.
