Booking smaller, more intimate and unique venues is definitely a good choice for AEW. Cheaper to run, will hopefully have a fun live atmosphere and make the TV product look livelier. A big issue I have with the weekly TV is the crowds are quiet and don’t respond to a lot of stuff due to being in a half empty building. Saving bigger venues for PPVs is the way to go for now.

 

Also probably helps if they're running 2-3k person venues in real cities, people will buy tickets early rather than wait til the week of. That Collision episode I went to in Cedar Rapids, there was maybe 14-1500 people there, but it sounded WAY louder than the ~3k show I went to a few months earlier because the venue was way smaller

to be fair, they couldn't fill the bottom bowl of the new epicenter arena in rosenburg (houston burb), and the top was empty. and that was their third visit to the houston area. not sure how well collision will do there. frankly they should have gone back to the arena on the university of houston campus as it it near the center of the city.

i do have my eyes set on goin to revolution in LA tho.

Oh, I mean she did the heel turn with the ROH TV title...has she turned back face yet for Final Battle this year? Or is it something that seems longer term where maybe its happening next year?

edit: It appears thats a yes for Final Battle. Either way, Athena should be doing more AEW stuff
