I ate at one in Indiana on a work trip and I was thoroughly unimpressed. We dont have them here

 

Steak n Shake is good imo

 

Biglari absolutely ruined Steak and Shake

 

steak and shake was a high school staple

 

It's not about whether the teenagers care it's about living an honest life.

 

The children should not watch that movie

 

It was pretty much the only thing open after ten. Waffle House and Denny's felt more adult but half of the waiters at Steak and Shake were our friends.

 

Steak 'n Shake started in my hometown and I hung out there a lot in high school. I'll still go back every once in a while when I'm visiting.

 

I have a ticket for a free shake so I need to go there one day. I try to avoid chains, though.

 

I can't picture you hanging with people and having fries and shakes

 

We always went there after shows. Most of the scene girls were waitresses there and the shake guy was in his late twenties and always invited people to come back to his apartment.

 

I've often described Dune Part Two and Furiosa to my friends as the two best action sci-fi films this year, but that got me thinking, what even came out this year for them to compete with? I mean, yeah, they're fantastic films in their own right, but the only MCU film this year was Deadpool and Wolverine, and DC isn't releasing anything because Gunn's still working on the reboot. Maybe it's a me thing, probably 80% of the films I went to this year were horror. I haven't seen anything the Sony side of Marvel has put out.

(Monkey Man is also great. just not really sci-fi)

 

I liked alien romulus and the new planet of the apes was decently fun but yeah there wasn’t a whole lot this year

The first trailer for the live action version of how To Train Your dragon is out

 

This just seems so weird to me. What's the point, if it's looking like just a shot for shot remake? People can just watch the original movie. And the dragons still look really cartoony. Toothless is just slightly upscaled from the original movies, so it kinda has an uncanny valley feel by mixing it with live action. So just make another sequel, dang it!

 

I remember that Damn Daniel thing ended the day she had them on her show. It was incredible how quickly it ended.

 

Yep! He got a ton of shoes and we never heard from him again.
