Basically near the end of Metaphor. Want to finish it before I return to Veilguard. At the the 9/24 fight and then it’s just the last month.

 

Dragon Age pissing me off because I figured out a way to get a crystal to one of the gates but apparently I’m not doing it they want and it just disappears back to it’s starting point after a few seconds.

 

Game Award nominees are being announced today at 12 pm est.
They announced DLC/expansions are eligible for all categories so my guesses for GOTY are:

Elden Ring: Shadow of Erdtree
Final Fantasy VII Rebirth
Astro Bot
Black Myth
Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom

 

yeah man my guesses also don't include the highest rated game of the year

 

Do the game awards nominations also come with any 'news / updates / trailers' etc? Anything else we should be expecting? I don't pay attention to these things till it's actually the awards time so I don't know about years past.

 

FF7 Rebirth, shadow of the erdtree, Astro bot and metaphor refantazio are pretty much lock-ins, the other two could be anything else really

 

It’s not like the game awards are known to nominated unpopular games lol I just went with the games that got good reviews and were popular

 

Each yeah the game awards have a dozen or so “world premieres”. Some years they’ve announced pretty huge stuff.

 

I know the awards show does, but I was curious if the nominations this afternoon would have anything or if it was a very simple and quick 'list of nominations'.

If Erdtree wins GOTY i'm starting my own award show and giving it to a diff game.

 

The only thing that could make me actually give a shit about what the game awards does is if they actually made it only an awards show.

 

The advertisements and downtime on bullshit is what kills it for me typically. Also the announcements the last few years haven’t been great


There should be two or three heavier hitters this year that get announcements tho

Everyone talking about erdtree when I'm hoping the announcement meant SH2 being a remake means it's in too as it deserves to be.

 

I wouldn’t be too shocked to see Erdtree and SH2 nominated tbh

 

Literally no reason not to those games rock ass
