I don’t like smoking or fishing, but I simply just don’t get too upset about football for more than like 15-20 mins because at the end of the day who cares.

Having experienced the Brady era probably helps though.

I’m not sure that anyone here lacks other hobbies lol

but shoot do I get a little bit frustrated when I can’t nail a guitar part I’ve been practicing? Yeah! I just genuinely don’t think getting invested into a hobby to the point it occasionally bothers you is a horrible thing haha.

I don't think anyone is talking about just being a little bit frustrated for a little bit. I think we're all talking about the fans who go 2, 3, 4 levels past that. And those fans are VERY common too and there's just no way it's mentally healthy.

 

Yeah that and the outbursts GraveDigger used to have and some of I am Mick’s posts are entering this territory below lol

but generally we don’t have that issue in here imo

 

Like, not to pick on you but just to use it as an example, how many times have I asked you to work on changing your relationship with football because it was 3 or 4 days after a game and you were still posting through it? Or as has been mentioned a few times, the Drew experience lol. That kinda stuff is probably not great.

(I've been tremendously impressed at how checked out you've been of the jags and not letting them derail your life too much while they derail their own)

 

I’m at the point where the Steelers losing does not affect me in any way. I am happy when they win and if they lose I just continue on with my life lol. I’ll make fun of them in game and maybe get caught up in it in the moment but once the clock hits zero I’m thinking about other things.

 

God having kids has made it easy to forget and move on from losses lol. I ain't got the brain space to grind the tape and rant and rave like that anymore. Thanks Milo and Maisie! lol

 

I sat in my underwear in complete silence for about 10 minutes after the refs blocked the Broncos FG last week.
