Getting into the DLC for DS1 before finishing the main game. Absolutely loved the fight with Knight Artorias despite dying more than I have with any other boss in this game. Felt like one of the few times I really had to lock in for a boss but also like the most fair and balanced fight in the game at the same time.

After a good five hours, Isshin, the Sword Saint is no more.

What an incredible experience this whole game was and I’m quite proud of myself for giving it a go and sticking with it. Planning on giving Dark Souls another try after I knock out an easier game or two.

End of this game was fine I guess. Way too easy of a final boss that didnt feel like a good reward for all that hard work. Even I was able to parry lock him and I suck at parrying. I had a ton of fun playing and the level design throughout can't be beat so its still a positive experience and I can see myself coming back to do ng+ at some point.

Now onto DS2 Remastered, I'm maybe like 6-8 hrs in with the Last Giant defeated. Despite this looking really good, it definitely suffers from some weird changes they made to stats and core game mechanics. Healing is excruciatingly slow and I don't care for the way hp loss upon death is handled. Im not a big fan of the way character movement is done here either. It feels super clunky and really stands out from the other souls games I've played in bad way. Hoping once I get adp up I'll feel a bit better overall but sucks I have to dump into that stat just to have proper i-frames.

So tell me something awesome Supporter

I was very underwhelmed by the DS1 final boss. I think DS3 did it better

DS2 is the worst of the bunch. It’s the only one that felt unfair and just frustrating more than “hard”.

Im pretty far into it now and yeah totally get that. I'm finding that in general the enemy mobs on my boss run-backs are what frustrate me the most especially with the way this game handles damage output in a mob situation. Also a personal problem, but the amount of times I've gotten deep into a level with barely any heals left just to get effed up by a pursuer is also extremely annoying. Its not all bad though, I'm playing mostly guide free when I can and I've had a ton of fun exploring the world, discovering all the new areas and gear as I go, figuring out what does and doesnt work. I also find it somewhat refreshing that there's a focus on more humanoid boss encounters in this one compared to the previous games.

Managed to finally defeat Malenia last night. When I first got Elden Ring, and even made this thread, I played it so much and then life happened and I only got as far as Radahn. Started another new game for the DLC and pretty proud that I've got as far as I have.

    Onto the First Elden Lord.

Started Shadow of the Erdtree on Monday and made it up to the Dancing Lion. Felt like I blew through Belurat so I’m going to take a little time to explore the area before beating the boss. It took a second to get reacquainted with the controls but man it’s good to be back. I love the atmosphere of Gravesite Plain. Sounds like it’s best to avoid the furnace golem for a bit? Most annoying new enemy so far is the dude with the circular blade.

Furnace Golem is more of a time sink than actually difficult imo. I was able to beat him first thing when I loaded up the DLC and was rusty, it just took a while slowly chipping away at his health and avoiding his stomp attacks. I got absolutely destroyed by the circle blade guy though haha

Dancing Lion down, ghost flame dragon up next. I forgot how stressful it can be not wanting to miss things or lock myself out of quests.

I beat Dancing Lion but this game got humbling really quick. Beat Ancient Dragon Man today but he gave me a hell of a time. I’m getting my ass kicked everywhere I turn right now.

Made it to Rellana and got two attempts in before calling it a night. Pretty fun fight but fuck she’s fast.

I don't think I can beat Radahn reprised. His second phase feels impossible, I've never been this hopeless in any of these games lol

Easily the hardest boss I've ever faced in any FromSoft game so far. Felt good to be able to stick with my strength build and beat him. Did have to finish gathering the rest of the scadutree fragments and spirit ashes to do it
