yeah seemed out of place for a show like this only thing I can think is he wanted off the show?

I’ve read that that actor for JJ and the actress for Kiara keep a distance but not sure if something like that would make an actor want to leave. The show runners are saying the character’s fate was always planned to happen so who knows.

This show was always an escape for me as its full of friendship, adventure, and ridiculousness. I'm really not sure how I feel about that death. He says he got everything he wanted, but JJ got screwed over and over again. Literally had a town turn against him too. The only thing I will say is the send off was good bc this whole season revolved around him, even though it was a cheap shot ending for him. Really wondering who's going to fill this void now. Maybe Rafe?

I’m still in shock. me and my wife are still grieving the loss of JJ. We are both shocked that we feel this way about a tv character haha. But dammkt….its such a tragic story.
I seriously think the writers underestimated how important the character of JJ would become. JJ was the heartbeat of the story

We finihsed this over break. Holy shit what an absolutely wild show lol. We got a town riot, a teen pregnancy, a secret biological dad, and a bunch of 19/20 year olds taking a boat across the ocean to Africa. Lol this show really is such trash TV, and yet still so damn entertaining! Though I will admit to being kind of over Jadis/the mercs by the end, like they waited waaaay too long to start mentioning this shady background character/group they're trying to get the crown for, so by the time we got to episode 9/10 and they started talking about it, it was already too late and they just seemed like they were there to complicate things for the kids, more or less.

Really enjoyed how they got Rafe back involved with the group towards the end, and I enjoy that they're letting him show some sparks of redeeming qualities. And he was absolutely right at the end there--why are they all sitting around when they should be off after the crown and JJ's killer? And yeah, what a blow to the show. JJ was classic early 2000s self destructive teen headcase and it was so fun on this show lol. Him being gone is gonna suck. But yeah I was frustrated that this season ended on a cliff hanger with none of hte stories tied up, just JJ's death.
