Are you sure you're not conflating two separate events?

Either that or the crossover was mentioned in an email as a justification for a Sony crossover, but that feels less likely.

I got two vibes from that trailer. 1. Lightyear. They could have said this is the story of Optimus Prime, the one the toy is based on. 2. Power Rangers 2017.

so… a lot of people who saw it early claims transformers one to be really good, or at least better than the trailer made it look. of course, it’s mostly people like one of the discussingfilm writers so make of that what you will

 

excited, looks fun!

 

stacked voice cast, has a power rangers feel when the autobots figuring out their new powers, looks like a lot of fun!

 

saw transformers one the other night. i mostly liked it. a lot less of what i thought would annoy me, given the first trailer and the fact that it's a transformers prequel. a few too many predictable jokes/lines/scenes stop it from being really solid. but it's decent enough and brian tyree henry is a real standout. there's some nifty animated moments in there too. i think it's worth an a-list/regal unlimited watch at least. the fanbase that this movie is for should eat this shit up with ease
