I just can't believe that the same party and folks who cried like absolute babies about NYC banning giant sodas and Michelle Obama trying to make school lunches healthier is going to somehow step in and ban food additives. Its fucking performance art to give cat nip to the Woo Woo crowd that came to their party due to vaccines and Qanon.

i'm a fan of cereal and would also like a government that makes sure harmful ingredients and chemicals are not allowed in my cereal

 

Controlling more food additives is needed but unfortunately the guy who is actually going to do it is a crackpot and you can’t trust anything he’s doing. I do partially blame democrats for not doing enough when they have power and leaving the door open for people to turn to an idiot as the voice on the issue.

Any attempt to really make American food healthier would require completely overhauling federal agricultural subsidies to wheat, corn, dairy, and beef and redirect those subsidies to fruits and vegetables, which no Republican administration would ever do.

 

The older I get the less cereal I eat, but god damn if I couldn't eat an entire box of Cinnamon toast crunch in one sitting.

A soccer mom I was talking to was telling me vaccines weren’t responsible for eradicating polio it was herd immunity. I explained that even if herd immunity occurred the way things work is that new people get born and older people die off so these children are people that have not been exposed to polio. And she actually seemed to get it lol like how did this not cross her mind before?
