im genuinely confused on how streaming even works anymore and who services who

 

I know broadcasters are just employed by the teams but it still feels messed up that they can just switch teams

 

According to mlb im “in market” for all 4 of those teams at once, so I can’t just buy the single team package on their streaming service. I would have to sign up for Bally Sports Kansas City which is now Fanduel TV or some shit. If I tried to sign up for that, I’m told I can’t because I’m in Oklahoma City and I can only subscribe to Bally Fanduel TV Oklahoma

it’s nonsense!

 

I figured out late this season that Nord VPN has a smart TV app and I can use that + MLB.tv

 

but yes the blackouts are extremely dumb

 

nord vpn worked like a dream for the 2024 mlb season but it was hit or miss for me the year before (would often need to reset it or choose a different host server half a dozen times before finding one that cut through the blackout bs)

 

good thing it doesn’t come from rays’ revenue

would hate to see them subsidize a poverty franchise like the yankees
