I guess at least I’d say she’s not wrong that fluoridation of water is probably low on the list of things to be concerned about with RFK jr. being in charge of public health, as well has her point that most toothpaste now contains fluoride so the benefits of it being in the water aren’t as significant as in the past

what power would the federal government actually have in that anyway? Sounds like what he talks about doing would just be a recommendation from the gov for states and cities to remove fluoride from the water, but no actual mandate. I could be wrong though

I just want to say this as a sort of eulogy/epilogue to Infowars:

People in the independent political mediasphere of all stripes especially on the fringes of left/right will fantasize that their specific niche worldview will one day gain traction and dominate the US political paradigm. For most Political content creators this is just a pipedream. Alex Jones did it, he actually fucking did it. He willed his own radical ideology into reality. The fringe shit he was talking about in 2009 is our actual political norm now. I mean we are talking about banning Fluoride as a something that might really happen! Everything he built ideologically is flourishing at the same moment everything he built structurally that is tangible is collapsing.

Don't take this for an admiration post of him as a person or what he stands for. He is a conman, he is a piece of shit, he deserves everything he is getting right now, but he also is an undeniably incredibly talented propagandist and might be the single most important broadcaster of the 21 century in terms of the influence he had on our society.

I watched Infowars during the Bush era and people forget he would actually pander to the left back then. He would quote from Manufacturing Consent all the time. He interviewed Chomsky multiple times. He accurately reported about the Pat Tillman incident. The first time I learned about COINTELPRO and Operation Cyclone, and a lot of stuff Blowback talks about was from Alex Jones in the late 2000's, of course he would then dilute all that by talking about NWO Illuminati bullshit right after.
