As a product of Catholic school, I'd say there's no quicker way to create a generation of atheists than mandatory religion class.

Anecdotal of course but the few friends my age I’ve had who grew up Catholic/attended Catholic school have become atheist or non-religious by the time they turn 18

 

There was a similar crisis in the early 2000s where the girls had gone wild!

I use DoorDash all the time lol I’m under no illusions that it’s a good thing for me or for society but who gives a shit lol I didn’t make it out of the depths of addiction to not enjoy the finer things in life (Taco Bell on my doorstep)

I think people liked the idea of it as an abstract campaign thing, but are not prepared for the reality of what it will look like in practice as a real policy, especially in those Hispanic communities that went for Trump where they have neighbors, people they go to mass with, or even extended family members that will be directly effected by this.

 

I’m not saying that there arent very real systemic issues that prevent wealth accumulation for “normal” people, but sometimes I get whiplash when I read your posts

 

I wonder if restaurants that lose half their BOH staff to a raid will put signs on the door saying they're closed because of government tyranny or whatever those stupid signs during covid mask mandates said

 

and the images are the kinda thing, again i may be way wrong here, that i feel like could immediately break through.

but i am probably also thinking some of that because i remember this photo VIVIDLY as a kid; seared in my head
