Dougie was really frustrating in the week-to-week waiting, but it all works in the end.

For sure. But that anticipation was admittedly incredible at the time. All the weekly theories and discussions. Watching it my second time through was also great, when I did an episode or two a night. I can see value in both ways of watching.

I got to meet Kyle MacLachlan while I was dressed as Gordon Cole at NYCC this year and he was such a sweetheart. I'm usually not one for meeting celebrities but it was 100% worth it

Watching a loved one continue smoking, especially as they get older and it causes more and more health problems, is so depressing. Because it isn't associated with behavioral issues like drugs or alcohol it is hard to get them to see it as anything other than their choice.

i'm genuinely surprised my grandmother lived to be 89, tbh. she smoked incessantly the majority of her life, and it only amplified after she met her last husband, who was an asshole in every sense of the word. i will say i think the way he treated her increased her anxiety to a point where increased smoking was a coping mechanism. and even after he died (he passed a year before she did), she could never bring herself to quit. but i remember growing up she had warned me and my siblings not to follow in her footsteps, so i've always had an aversion to smoking anything because of all of it. i felt really bad for her.
