I honestly think CKY could have been a much bigger band today if they had kept their shit together.

 

Instead they’ve split into essentially two equally bad bands clinging to CKY’s legacy. They had a REALLY strong cult following. Last time I was near the Chad-led CKY was at the last Warped Tour and they had barely anyone watching them. I went and saw 96BitterBeings a year ago and not even joking, every single person left after the opening band, which was a fresh out of high school local band, except for me and some dude who apparently paid a stupid amount of money for the “privilege” to do vocals for Inhuman Creation Station. I remember looking online afterwards and it was like a vip benefit for like a $300 ticket. The second hand embarrassment I felt was off the charts lol.

 

Jess isn't 100% there either. He loves to go on social media rants. I think that between all 3 of their drinking problems (chad, Deron, jess) CKY would never be the same again after AACBF. I loved Carver City, but chad filling in for Deron on The Phoenix was a terrible idea. The band just needs to die for now until chad and Deron can get their shit together and maybe one day reconcile.

 

CKY had a big following in the UK in the past, I remember the first time I saw them live they sold out a 3,000 cap room in Birmingham with Clutch supporting and they could of gone on to bigger things over here but they can't keep their shit together but then when they reunited but it was the Chad led line up and shows were selling out and I must of seen them 3 times during that period but while they sounded good and put on a great show.. that's when I met Jess and I didn't mention Chad's name but Jess bought his name up anyways and said he was sick of tired of his shit and I didn't ask him for a follow up about that but seeing that recent shows have either been cancelled or carried on but Chad refused to cancel or postpone because his voice was fucked which he complained about on social media but my friends friend is doing tech on the Alien Ant Farm UK tour and they said that from day 1 of the European leg of the tour it was obvious that Chad had serious issues and that Alien Ant Farm statement on IG was 100% true they said.. it seems all the good will CKY had in the UK has gone to waste again.

Imagine feeling like you have to physically defend yourself from Dryden Mitchell.

 

And that isn't me trying to be mean about Dryden, but this is the least convincing "my life was in danger" story I've heard in a long time.

 

this is just messy and I frankly could care less. I dont even see them making it to the Tool show next year.
